The interior basket measures 5 1/4" tall with a circular diameter of 15 1/4". Basket depth is 5 1/4"; handles are 2 1/2" tall.
The larger, exterior basket measures 7" tall with a circular diameter of 17 1/2". Basket depth is 7"; handles are 3" tall.
Swahili African Modern works with artisans in rural parts of Bolgatanga, Ghana to create beautifully handcrafted items like this basket out of local elephant grass which is dried into straw, hand-dyed, and woven using traditional basketweaving techniques.
The baskets can be reshaped - this can be easily done by wetting the basket and molding it to the shape you desire!
